I went to bed at 8pm, originally woke up at 5:30am, but just didn't want to be out of bed, so I rolled around and fell back asleep around 7:30 and got up at 9am. Does this mean I don't have jet lag? Except that I feel rather loopy, so we'll see.
It's bad that I've been here over 12 hours and only been in the cab, but that's what travel does to you. I just finished with work emails (now I'm on the flip side where it's the US stuff that fills my inbox while I sleep!). Just need to shower and get dressed and figure out where the heck I'm going. I think I'll just wander towards the Forbidden City and see what I see. I'll probably do some organized tour(s) tomorrow and Thursday, but today I'm just playing it by ear.
It's wicked dry here. Unconfortably so.
