It's 6:30 pm here, but I've had something like 4 hours of sleep in the last 24 hours, so I'm rather tired. I arrived at my hotel a short while ago. The trip was quite good. I had Economy "Plus" which was extra leg room. But the best part was that my 747 had only 106 out of a possible 270 space. So we had LOTS of room to stretch out. Very nice. Especially since the Chicago-Bejing leg was 13.5 hours. Yikes.
I was worried about finding my way through the airport and then taxi-ing to the hotel, but the airport was a cinch and even though my taxi driver spoke no English (does the OK sign with his hand count?) we got to my hotel for a measly 85 Yuan. Sweet.
The Park Plaza Beijing Wangfuching is very nice so far. Very pleasant service and nice room. I'm thinking I'll be taking a bath since I don't do that at home and I have some time. I'm way too tired to venture out and I have 3 solid days for wandering, so I'm giving myself a break tonight. Hotel rooms are the same everywhere, and this is somewhat comforting when you're tired and have a headache.

Now I'm watching China music videos. This has to be my favorite hotel pasttime in every country I've visited. I remember watching Italian MTV for hours on end.
Anyway, now it's much later since I started this post and I'm going to get my stuff unpacked and take a long hot bath.
Of course I won't be able to see this blog because blogspot is blocked in China. As is livejournal. But I can see the posting mechanisms on blogger (which is tied to blogspot), so it's rather silly...
